Lions Befrienders Flag Day

Greetings from Lions Befrienders! Lions Befrienders (LB) is an established local voluntary welfare organization (VWO) that reaches out to the vulnerable seniors in Singapore who are at risk of social isolation. Our mission is to provide friendship and care for seniors to age in place with community participation, enabling them to enjoy meaningful and enriching lives. We will be holding our Flag Day on 7 December 2016, Wednesday, and we aim to raise $150,000 for this event that will benefit our seniors. We would like to appeal to your organisation to reach out for volunteers to sign up as flag sellers on 7 December 2016 Flag sellers are great assets to us, as we depend on them not only in raising funds, but also in spreading the awareness of our seniors to the public. Flag sellers are ambassadors for Lions Befrienders for a day! Join us in our mission to alleviate social isolation amongst seniors whilst empowering them to live independently in our community. Volunteers will be able to incur co-curricular activities (CCA) points if required. We hope that you can help to post in the portal to help us get flag sellers.  There are three shifts available for volunteers to choose from: 1st shift – 7.30am to 9.30am 2nd shift – 11am to 2pm 3rd shift – 4pm to 7pm Volunteers may wish to registration via the following link : https://goo.gl/ncyJ0C  For group registration, please download the form and  email to xiangyun@lionsbefrienders.org.sg:  https://gallery.mailchimp.com/6914f7178b88e71d59db3f6ce/files/LB_Flag_Sellers_Registration_Form_2016.xlsx If you have any queries pertaining to our event, or wish to indicate your interest in supporting our flag day, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Valen Tan Husistein at valentan@lionsbefrienders.org.sg or 6681 4963. We are looking for youths interested to volunteer and be trained as Youth Leaders (18 years old & above) on our various sports platforms (i.e. Dragon Boat, Soccer & CrossFit).

Sports Leadership Training

As part of equipping you as a leader, we have a 2-day equipping programme specially prepared for you.

  1. LEADERSHIP TRAINING (1-day) by Seraph Corp, a boutique leadership consulting firm who will be training you to become a competent leader for the Unforgotten youth in the 3 different sports platforms. This training will equip you to know yourself more and the traits you possess as a leader for yourself and someone else.
