Audition Call for Night Festival 2010 @ the National Museum of Singapo

Presented by the National Museum of Singapore since 2008, the Night Festival is an annual event featuring outdoor performances, art installations and exhibitions that extends into the magic of the night. This year, the Night Festival will be programmed together with TheatreWorks (Singapore). TheatreWorks is in search of artists and performers above 18 years of age; we would like to invite interested artists to audition for: 1)      Lead and supporting roles in a number of musical numbers; 2)      Actors to play various characters in invisible theatre; 3)      Social Dancers, for instance Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa etc who are willing to dance with members of the public for the evening; and   4)      Other talented performers such as musicians, jugglers, magicians, fire-eaters, snake-charmers etc  All performers will be paid a fee to be mutually agreed upon, depending on role and rehearsal hours. Expected rehearsal period: 1 April – 12 July 2010 Technical / Dress rehearsals: 13 – 15 July 2010 Performances: 16 and 17 July 2010 AUDITION DETAILS Date: 20 March 2010, Saturday Time: 2pm to 5pm Venue: National Museum of Singapore For those attending the auditions, we would appreciate if you would prepare and bring along the following: Actors to prepare a two-para monologue; and singers to bring own minus either in MP3 format or CD format. We would advise all to dress comfortably, especially for dance auditions. The Rock Carnival calling for Volunteers

The Rock Challenge & Carnival 2014, jointly organized by Bedok Youth Executive Committee and The Rock School, is a bouldering competition cum carnival organised for kids, youths and families ages 7 and up. 

 Besides rock climbing, there will also be fringe events such as balloon sculpting, face painting, magic shows as well as enrichment and sports workshops. Parents are not forgotten: a series of parenting talks will be hosted. 

 Through this event, we hope to:

•       Promote sports and healthy living through rock climbing in Singapore

•       Provide a competitive outlet (junior leagues) for primary and secondary school kids 

•       Engage youths in the community to participate, support and volunteer for community-based sport events 

•       Foster stronger family bonds and communication through the sport 

•       Raise the awareness of rock climbing in the local sporting scene

 When 21st, 22nd and 23rd November 2014

21st November - 9am-6pm (Competition Qualifying)

22nd November 10am – 4pm (Carnival) & 5pm onwards (Competition Finals)
23rd November 10am – 4pm (Carnival)
